| is pleased to announce the Marcella Kochanska Sembrich
Vocal Competition 2007.

Eligibility:
- Contestant must be a United States citizen of Polish descent or a
legal resident and not under professional management.
- The competition is open to high school graduates, male or female up
to the age of 35 years who have pursued or are currently pursuing higher
education study in voice or in the early stage of their vocal career.
Requirements:
- Each contestant must submit a completed application form with
required enclosures.
- Each contestant must submit three (3) copies of a Cassette or CD recording with piano
accompaniment of 30 minutes duration.
- The recording must consist of arias* and art songs, including
selections in two languages
other than English. The Cassette/CD must be clearly labeled with the
applicant’s name and the selections performed.
*Arias for female voices- preferably a selection from Marcella Kochanska
Sembrich performances.
*Arias for male voices - preferably a selection from Marcella Kochanska
Sembrich’s male vocal counterparts performances.
- The winner must be available to perform a full recital including 1 or
2 Polish arias or art songs at the 2007 convention of the American
Council for Polish Culture on July 10-15, 2007, in Dearborn, Michigan.
These are not necessarily to be sung in Polish but may be translated.
- The American Council for Polish Culture will provide for the winner,
if necessary, one night's accommodation and reasonable travel expenses.
- Applications along with enclosures must be received by April 1,
2007.
