About our scholarship recipients:

Julia Caroline Przybos a graduate of Pennsbury High School, is a student at the University of Pittsburgh where she majors in Health Information Management. Julia is an active member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha (an international service and leadership organization) and a member of the Partner Pre-Health Service Alliance. In terms of community service Julia has made the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association a priority serving as Polish Cub and Brownie Scout Troop Leader and volunteer counsellor at Kolonia (camp).

Tekla Simon is a student at Hofstra University, majoring in French and Anthropology with a concentration on Archeology. At Hofstra, Tekla is a member of the Alpha Phi Omega Co-Ed Community Service organization, the Equestrian Club, the Anthropology Club and the Entertainment Club. She was awarded the Kosciusko Foundation Scholarship to Study at the Jagiellonian University during the summer of 2017. Anticipated graduation is in 2019.

Natalie Dzietczyk is a member of the Polish Heritage Society of Philadelphia, and a full time freshman at Drexel University where she majors in Civil Engineering. Natalie has a long history of involvement in Polonia including serving as a volunteer teacher and Miss Polonia for ZPA (Zjednoczenie Polskie w Ameryce in Perth Amboy, NJ), appearing in the 2015 New York City Pulaski Day Parade. She is continuing in her commitment to revive the Polish Student Club at Drexel University.

Grace Majkut is a member of the National Honor Society and active in the Senior Class at St. Bard Academy. To quote her counsellor: "Grace is the whole package." Grace plays on the High School volleyball team, plays the flute in the band, devotes time to the Science Olympics and the Reading Olympics, and many others while working part-time and caring for her siblings. Grace's goal is to pursue Business Administration and a degree in economics.

Olivia Shears is a senior at Sun Valley High School, has her sights set on a career in construction management. Her volunteer efforts and experiences are summed up by her self-stated description: "Construction Management student with history of dedication to construction industry, a passion for helping others and a desire to continue learning." Her involvement includes: Habitat for Humanity, Sunnybrook Community Church - Saturday Serve and Magic Camp (mentoring a girl in construction). Olivia plans to attend Louisiana State University starting in the fall.

Zoe Danger Allen is an honor student at West Chester East High School and ranks in the top ten-percent of her class. Her course work is a rich mix of honors and advance-placement courses. She is a member of the National Honors Society, the Spanish NHS and is a National Merit Scholarship Commended Student. Her school electives include serving as Co-editor in Chief of the yearbook. Zoe will attend Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York, and major in linguistics.

Dorota Dylinski is a varsity team tennis player and a senior at Cinnaminson High School. Dora states her main goal is simply to help people. She hopes to accomplish this through her love of languages. She would like to work as a translator. She is fluent in English, Polish and is currently studying Spanish and French. She will attend Rowan College at Burlington County starting in the next school year.

Meredith Mussman, a senior at Conestoga High School, wants to have a career in Veterinary Medicine. She is involved in the sport of horseback riding and through her trainer (a veterinary assistant) Meredith found joy in caring for sick and injured horses. Her love of horses is manifested in her position as Team Captain for the Durango Farm Interscholastic Association and her volunteer work at the Devon Horse Show.

Nicholas Zaborowski graduated from Father Judge High School in 2017. He is a music therapy major at Temple University. He continues to improve his talents and practices his faith by serving as a cantor at Maternity BVM RC Church. Upon graduation from Temple University with a Bachelor's Degree he will be a fully certified Music Therapist. He hopes to work with children or the elderly. His long term goals are to earn his Masters Degree and conduct research.
