During the evening, Dr. Teresa Wojcik, the scholarship Chairperson and Marie Hejnosz, President of the Society, presented nine $1,000 scholarships to a group of very accomplished students of Polish descent. The event was attended by over 90 guests and featured music by Rick Gazda Band. Chance and silent auctions were chaired by Diana Blichasz and Dr. Margaret Zaleska.

Ball included cocktail hour, sit down dinner, dancing, Chance Raffle and Poloniase led by the "Ojczyzna" Dance Group from Baltimore, MD. Proceeds benefited our Scholarship Program. We saluted the 100th Anniversay of Poland's Independence and rebirth as a modern European state. This year's homoree was writer Aleksandra Ziolkowska-Boehm.
